Question about voice synthensizing and BASIC (coding language)?

I have a question about the programming language BASIC or if i cant do it with basic C++ or ect ect.

So to my point, i was wondering if theres a way if i can make a program using BASIC if you say into a mic something like hi. you will here a ';hello'; sound coming from your sound. so say i said how was your day today? computed reply ';Good';.

Mostly this question is about is there a way to get your voice to activate sounds through a mic and such.

If you dont know what im talking about just try to explain something you THINK.Question about voice synthensizing and BASIC (coding language)?
There's no way your going to get that kind of perfomance from BASIC, you'll need to do it in C, C+ or C++

There's a program from IBM called 'Voice Pilot' That does exactly what you want.Question about voice synthensizing and BASIC (coding language)?
