Ok I need to make a coded message to my friend, just cause I am being a tool. So can someone help me cause I don't know any slang.

You can just give flash effects to the header alone. Then for programming i prefer PHP. Because PHP is really user friendly and it will be quite easy to achieve the task. Copy the code to a text file and then import it into your page.

Coding Web Browser Toolbars?

Does anyone have any experience coding web browser toolbars? I've used Conduits website to create browser toolbars but I don't like how I'm forced to use their advertising based search and I don't like their terms of service, it seems like they are sending to much information about my browsing history. I'm trying to code this toolbar for use by my company and they arn't confortable with a 3rd party designed toolbar for security reasons. Has anyone coded their own toolbar for IE and/or Firefox and if so what coding language are you using and do you know of either any web or paper references I could read for help.

Firefox is a lot easier, as you basically write extensions in HTML and Javascript. If you download an extension .xpi file you can extract it with WinZip or similar and look at the code (change the extension to be .zip if you run into trouble). Coding error?

I typed a document using Microsoft word processor and I emailed it but they cannot open the attachment. It said there was a coding error. Whats up with that?Coding error?
Some computers dont support some features. For Ex. a file saved in Microsoft Offics 2007 wont be accesible using microsoft word 2003. So i suggest you first change the file extension to something common or to .rtf (since most programs accept it).

Yes, you can do either.

To make an html page a php page, just change the ';.html'; to ';.php'; in the filename. You don't actually HAVE to USE any php in a ';.php'; page.

Additionally, you can link to a php page just like a html page, assuming the php page is a complete page, with all necessary parts (head/body/...).

I would recommend Red Faction: Guerrilla, just because it has a longer last to it IMO, good campaign (although may get a tiny repetitive) with an amazing game engine running it, fun online, great to play with friends in a custom match :P

I would reccommend red fraction its a newer game with a fantastic physics engine whereas COD 5 is full of glitches people camping (hiding) in red fraction you can virtually destroy anything in your path. If you still cant make up your mind there is a red fraction and COD 5 demo on psn network and xbox live

Coding in notepad?

I have been told it is better to code in notepad rather than a text editor like JCreator.

JCreator is not a text editor. It is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE). IDE's generally shield the programmer from a lot of behind the scenes stuff, like managing the classpath or package management. Generally, it is recommended that you learn to do this yourself while you are learning to program. Once you understand the fundamentals, then it's OK to use IDE related shortcuts. That being said, there is no reason that you couldn't use JCreator or NetBeans or Eclipse, as long as you understand what the IDE is doing behind the scenes.Coding in notepad?
Notepad is definitely the best, as it is the most versatile editor of all. You can save a file with any extension there is, and also edit different types of files, like HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP. JCreator has a limited amount of documents or file extensions that it can read.

Better than Notepad, though is Notepad++ --- it was designed for coding. It is even better in that is seperates tags and groups all elements together. Search it up on Google to download it.
wrong, notepad lacks many features that make coding comfortable, let me take some example:

- text ident

- Compiler separate from editor, really bad

- Syntax checker

I don't why the heck someone have to tell such a whoax like that, notepad is the easiest way but not the best. It sucks, and for mid-size or big project avoid at all cost using notepad.

notepad++ or notepad2 are better version of notepad, but nothing compare to a real editor like JCreator, plus JCreator is an IDE for java do not expect to use it to compile other language.

Try Xubuntu alternate install. Not the live CD one.

Newer ubuntu will have hard time running on ur config.

Xubuntu will work marginally.

Try 'em out until you find the right one for you.
You really need to upgrade the ram to run ubuntu it requires at least 256mb ram. With that said if you have no interest in upgrading i would suggest Damn Small Linuz (DSL) or puppy linux but i would not recommend running this off of the live cd because it would run out of your ram you don't have any to spare for it so install it on the hard drive.

Question about voice synthensizing and BASIC (coding language)?

I have a question about the programming language BASIC or if i cant do it with basic C++ or ect ect.

i think it's great that you are doing your best to be a good kid, but to be honest - at this point in your life, you just have to do what your parents say. Maybe they have specific reasons as to why they don't want you to play that game. Maybe they really don't like games where you kill other humans. I think it would be very mature of you to ask your parents to sit and talk with you about WHY they won't allow this particular game. Maybe they are just ill-informed on the game. It may not get them to LET you have/play the game, but at least you will have a better understanding of your parents, and they will appreciate that. CoD5 AKA CoD: WaW is not that good. Get CoD4: Modern Warfare. It is way better and is way more fun. There is VERY LITTLE blood and VERY little cursing, VERY little.

Your parents will kill you if they hear CoD5, CoD5 has LOTS of blood, people body parts get shot off and LOTS and LOTS of cursing.

CoD4 has better games, got better graphics and has better guns. Tell your parents what i just told you, little blood and little cursing, VERY little cursing, close to none. It is way more fun.

You'll need to host it and buy a domain, and that costs money. Not too much money, but money nonetheless. Alternatively, you can use a free service (like Yahoo's Geocities, for example) to put it up for free, but then your website would have banners, pop-ups, and a large level of suck. Unless you're talking about something else entirely, and are asking about how to turn a ';.txt'; file into ';.html';. That's pretty easy. You pay a registrar to register the www.(something).com domain where (something) is a name you choose.

Then you pay a web host to actually host the content for you, and point the domain name to the host.

You upload your content to the web host, set up the ';root'; file, test it, and you're done.

You could buy your ';domain'; (www.domain.com) at sites like http://www.godaddy.com. Not sure what they charge
You need to upload it when you're done with the layout and design. Well since you have a yahoo account then you may use Yahoo's free hosting on Geocities.

Go to www.geocities.com, then setup your free account where you need to choose at least one catergory of advertisement to appear on your site. When your done with that, then you're ready to go and upload your stuff. Go to the Easy Upload button and Browse to each file you have under your folder to upload them..if you have too many files then have patience, you need to Browse or point to your files one by one then eventually click UPLOAD.

Take note, if you have Images folder under your root folder where you saved your picture files used for the website you also need to create a directory/folder on your Filemanager. Then upload those pics under the images folder. Otherwise, you get a broken image with a red X mark..meaning the pic's location may not be correct or the pic is not found.

You will have your URL with your yahoo name on it. Such as christy as user name, then your URL will be http://www.gecocities.com/christy

I don't like it. You have to maintain a base of clean source code and a base of obfuscated. Maintenance includes making sure the code runs in both modes.

Rather, I like code (if this is for my own satisfcation, not for contract work) that is outside the realm of textbook stuff. The superstars of code use one language to drive another language, and that is my ideal.

There are plenty of obfuscation frameworks out there. Truly, don't pay for one. Get a free one somewhere by just googling.

The answer may be to do without the frames. What is it you need frames for? For most websites they're not needed, and they create issues for usability, accessibility and search engine optimisation.

their are only 21 sections and your on maybe section 9 so you aren't quite close to being finished... A free hosting account at freewebs.com is not going to allow you to do what you want as you are not able to use Server Side Includes (SSI) or some scripting languages.

Freewebs Pro account is a little expensive if you need to absolutely set this up. I recommend using a paid hosting site where they provide all the bells and whistles. Most will charge you only for the domain name, but payment is by the year. Freewebs is $10/month I think to get the bells and whistles you need.

I like SSI as it is easy to set up so, when I make changes to my nav links, it's a change to only one file which propagates through all the pages.

Sounds insanely similar. I KNOW I've seen this somewhere but I don't remember where. I feel like I've written down some little diagrams to understand this thing myself.

I'll edit this latter with some solutions, but I have to ask, are you taking Data Structures (or some variation of it) over the summer? I know I took Advanced Data Structures one summer and my professor preferred C++ eventhough the other professors preferred Java and that fact made the text book unsellable after the summer course.

That site uses a background image for the bottom half of that guy. Try doing that. Create a div, position it where the bottom half needs to go and assign a background image to it.

The php include function is entirely different then and not dependant on an html div.

You dont need to have the include inside a div to be displayed proplerly, unless that is how your websites template is designed.

Having a coding degree such as a CPC (though the American Academy of Professional Coders) or RHIT though AHIMA does certainly help. It can be hard to get started though without experience. I would start looking before you graduate. Also look into doing an externship (AAPC is now offering an externship program thoughout the states). Any kind of experience (even if it isn't very long) goes a long way in getting a job in this field.

Well, you really shouldn't be coding unless you know what you are doing. You could get a billing position if you have medical terminology. The Dr usually does the coding and all you do is post the charges but you do need to know terminology and know how to use the CPT and ICD-9 books. Good Luck!!

Assure him that language can, in fact, be turned off, by setting voice volume to 0. (Note that this will disable all talking in the game). In addition, the multiplayer has only 1 or 2 swear words (Out f- standing!) compared to the singleplayer which has a lot more.

The Inn on the Sound in Falmouth is very nice. It has a scenic view and is pretty affordable. The problem is, you might have to book in advance. Other than that, it's a small Bed and Breakfast, some rooms have a kitchen and the people who own it are really nice. I recommend it highly!

The Falmouth Inn is also nice, not a upscale Bed and Breakfast, but not a cockroach motel. It's in the center of town and the offer transportation around town, I think. More affordable than the above.

To get indexed on google, you need to be linked from places and I think you can request indexing.

/^[A-Za-z0-9 .-]{2,40}$/

If you are not trying to restrict the number of characters between 2 and 40, remove the {2,40}, and replace it with a * for 0 or more or a + for 1 or more characters.

First of all, do not use NB if you are trying to learn Java. Wait until after you have a grasp of the language. The best way to learn is simply to use a basic editor (like JGrasp) or any text editor (if you do this, you will have to compile by hand using the javac command) and understand how the language is constructed. I would recommend this even when you learn Swing (at least in the beginning).

There are many good tutorials online, but I prefer a book myself; of course, that is just a preference. O'Reilly always has good books, as do Deitel/Deitel.

There's a simple way to find out

Open the page, then right click. Choose 'view source' and a notepad window will open with the page's information on it.

The page you've linked to is written in css. You can tell because it says so in the first few lines!

Also, once you're used to writing css, you can spot the language tags.

The most recent version of dreamweaver writes in CSS, but there are loads of websites that offer tutorials too.

The basics involve writing rules in the top part of the page (the %26lt;head%26gt;), then referring to the rules you've set within the main body of the page

That is a very complicated page to make if you're not used to CSS.

When I put that content into a browser you can't see the text because you don't have a foreground color set. It also looks like the content got cut off in your posting.

There is no reason your page wouldn't scroll. Are you talking about the background image scrolling or not scrolling? Please add more details if you want help.

VBS coding for SMTP using CDO.Message?

I am trying to write a mail engine that does not require a local SMTP server to work using VBS (no its not for sending spam).

Everything is working perfectly except for the final bit:

How can I add aditional information into the .To = feild without the host trying to process it.

Example: the host could be ';mail.example.com';

the recpiants are: test1@hotmail.com, test2@yahoo.com, test3@example.com.

I only want to send the message to ';test3@example.com'; on ';mail.example.com'; but I want to show the full list of recpients.

You can't put people in the To list and not have them sent the email. It tells the email server the people to send it to. What you need to do is process the recipients and send the emails seperately to the mail server who matches the domain of the recipient. Eg:

They have a section that covers how to do html and designing your own web page from raw code. (pp.200-216). I have the 1999 edition, it's from Penguin Books, and while not the most comprehensible guide, it will get you going in the right direction.

I finished a medical coding and billing class, 9 month program, in Sep. You learn medical terminology, basic physiology and disease processes. Then there's the coding, CPT - Current Procedural Terminology, ICD - International Classification of Diseases and HCPCS which is hospital coding. I enjoyed the classes and everything I learned. I wouldn't say it's easy but if you work at it, I'm sure you can do it. On the downside, it's hard to find a job without 2 years of experience. So I'm still looking....

Actually %26lt;center%26gt; is a deprecated tag that shouldn't be used in new work. Instead, use the proper CSS style tags. If you want to align text within a paragraph, for example, it goes like this:

All of your ';text here'; divs are within the main div that is class ';mycontent';, so they're all having the ';.mycontent div'; style applied to them.

in the mycontent div the css setting ';overflow'; is set to ';auto'; which is why the text overlaps. If you remove that setting, or dont set it to auto, the text wont overlap.

If you are having trouble with CSS I would recommend using the Firebug extension to Firefox, it really helps to figure out what is going on with CSS and HTML.

The best way to right code is know your target retail points. If you want to build a truely great accounting package you have to sit down with the kind of accountants you want you use it and have user feed back. Even if you have not wriiten one line of code. I need to create a textbox on my page where they type in any text and it redirects them to a subdomain with that same text.

It's not easy, but it's not hard either. If you are just starting, i'd invest in a program like ';Dreamweaver'; that lets you do the design visually.

Unless you're planning to start working in the field or seriously modify sites you've done, it's debatable how much time you want to spend learning html/css and all the things that make a web site go, not to mention all the browser varieties.

If you go the dreamweaver route, you'll get the project done, and then you can start to reverse engineer what you've done and learn that way too.

just make .html into .php. All you need to do if you want to start coding w/ php or adding a few nasty scripts :P.

You should really look into a few WYSIWYG editors, like dreamweaver or others. If your on a budget get a opensource one. Your efficiency will improve a lot.

Compiled code is essentially just a series of instructions to the CPU, calls to external libraries, and maybe some data. Normally what you see in the source code is not really recognizable in the compiled code. Symbols (or ';debugging symbols'; as they are often called) are the original function names and variable names from your source code that can be compiled into your executable (or otherwise referenced from another file such as a symbol database file), so that you can hook a debugger up to your compiled code, step through it, and have half a clue what it's doing.

Normally a ';debug build'; contains symbols, and a ';release build'; does not.

If something loads without symbols, it probably means that you've fired up a release build that is ready to be given out to the world. This does not mean that anything failed or that anything is wrong with this build.

It all depends on why you are taking them.

If you are taking them for a specific disorder, you should continue until that problem is gone.

If you have diahrrea after taking them (and you were not taking them for constipation), then the dose probably is a little high.
